Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need australian drug register labels?
Patient Safety. Drug Safety. Nurses time. Standardisation.
The days of illegible, inconsistent, ad-hoc drug labelling in the Controlled Drug Registers are over!
Hand written/Home-made Drug 'Labels' made in a craft group on night duty should not be what we do as Nurses.
Drug names written on Tongue depressors, additive labels, ID bands, Post-it notes with incorrect spelling, trade names used not Generic, no 'IR or 'SR' specified.. this is the start of your drug error. if you have a Drug Register, you should be using Australian Drug Register Labels.
HOW DO I USE australian drug register labels?
Go to the Alphabetised Green Storage Folder given to you at the time of implementation, and find the letter of the Drug Label you require. Find the correct Drug, Dose and Form Label, and simply tear a Label from the spine of the sheet using the perforations.
Remove the sticky tape from the front of the Label and apply to the BACK of the Drug Register page you are starting, so as not to obstruct any crucial information on the front of the page.
SINGLE USE .. at the completion of the Drug Register page, simply CUT OFF the label and get a new one from your Green Storage folder.
HOW DO I ORDER?
Each Drug Register Label has a unique code on the spine of the Label sheet.
Simply tell us the codes you need to re-order your specific Drug Register Labels to top up your supplies.

Whatever you prefer - call or email with your specific needs and we will offer you our advice, provide a quote and have your customised list of labels to you as soon as possible.
IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY?
Yes, minimum orders are 3 sheets of 7 Labels per Drug Label. With both large and small Hospitals and Aged Care Facilities coming onboard, we can advise you on what quantity and frequency of order would be best suited for your organisation, based on our equations and experience.
HOW DO I STORE MY LABELS?
Printed Drug Register Label sheets contain 7 labels of each drug, which are peeled off and applied to the Drug Register pages for correct drug page identification. They are cut and drilled ready for use inside a ''Green Medication Safety Accreditation" colour 2 ring A4 binder and alphabetical dividers separate drug names and doses for ease of use. Your initial tailor made order arrives collated in a branded 'Medication Safety Accreditation standard' colour Green binder with A-Z dividers. Subsequent orders are supplied as cut sheets of labels ready to insert into your binder. Additional folders & dividers are available upon request.
